Mike I don't know much but one thing I do know is every ICOM radio including 
the $10,000 7800 require a thing called a level converter(CT17). It's listed in 
the options for a 7006 in the AES catalog.......

All,
Looking to setup CT for Win using a USB cable from my RIGblaster
device that was sent with the radio from eBay.  Not sure if this is
possible but I am able to detect the radio and use the drivers that
came with the cable to install.
Each time I try to connect with CT, I receive a message ICOM radio not echoing.

I looked as far back at 2001 but didn't see anything on the 706, but I
could have missed something.
