Can you create a "backup" ap in this manner?

I was just thinking of this because we are considering moving a relay point
that 8 customers are pointed at. We will only be moving it about 3 blocks
but it would be handy if we could turn up another AP with the same
configuration as the first and then just re-aim the near-by clients.

The current setup is routing but we could eaisly move that interface to
another router and make this thing bridge temporaily.

However, thinking about this some more, is is possible to have a backup ap
like this? Say if one went down...the other would pickup? I know there
might be some technical issues with clients reassociating with different
AP's but it seemed like a somewhat worthy idea.
