One of my customer had this same problem, upgrading to 4.31 fixed the it.

I have two AP1000 running V4.02. The ETH interfaces are directly connected with an Ethernet cord (no HUB/Switch). On one of the AP's the "carrier sense error" are constantly increasing (monitoring > Ethernet-like interfaces). On the other AP1000 the value is zero. Can you help me ... Means that I have errors on the ETH interface?
