Brett,
The SEC allows you to pass multiple MAC addresses through an AP on an 802.11
standard network.
The answers are:
1. You would have to replace all of your licenses.
2. 8 User version is $88 (list price), unlimited is $99(list price). You
will have to have either our TurboCell Base station (Running in 802.11 mode)
or our AP+ software (list price is $99).
3. YES- 802.11 does not poll.
4. You will most likely have hidden node issues.
5. Hidden node is the biggie!
Kevin

this combination
I am still a little confused about this SEC code stuff. If you don't mind,
answer a couple of questions for me someone? Assuming I upgrade an existing
Karlnet AP1000 with RG1100 clients to SEC Code:
1) Do I have to upgrade all of my existing RG1100 clients to SEC Client Code
for them to connect?
2) If so, what does the SEC client cost for the RG's?
3) Do I lose all of the polling features of Turbocell when I do this?
4) Is it still realistic to support 64 clients per radio in this mode?
5) I know there has to be a downside here, what is it?
Thanks for the education.
