When you go back to fix them.   Install a ground wire (#12 or #10 wire) as
well as a 4' - 8' ground rod...or connect directly to the existing utility
ground rod so you don't create a ground loop.

I guarantee you'll see fewer problems.   also remember about the surge
protectors.
