I'm trying to help a friend install a karlnet satelite
license on a WP-II
for some reason, the unit locks up after installing the
firmware (load kernel, import license key file, upload
software, it appears to finish then hang with all leds
RED). yes, the license was generated for this unit (the
macaddress is OK) -- I've seen this when the license
was wrongly generated or was for the wrong device, which
sometimes happen when you have more than one AP ;^)
one thing I found interesting is that, when we try to
upload back WPNT351.bin (WP-II latest firmware) with
Karlnet Configurator, it doesn't work
when we do the same procedure using AP MANAGER, it upload
first the WPNTFIX.bin, _then_ it uploads WPNT351.bin.
in both cases we choose through the menus the same file
(WPNT351.bin)
is Karlnet Configurator able to do this upload? if so, how?
is there any known problem between karlnet firmware 4.31
and WP-II? (we also tried 4.43k with no luck either)
any help on this would be greatelly appreciated
