SIDC SOLAR BULLETIN 24 Aug 2004, 1230 UTC
SIDC FORECAST (valid from 1230 UTC, 24 Aug 2004 until 26 Aug 2004)
SOLAR FLARES : Quiet conditions (<50% probability of C-class flares)
GEOMAGNETISM : Quiet (A<20 and K<4)
SOLAR PROTONS : Quiet
PREDICTIONS FOR 24 Aug 2004 10CM FLUX: 100 / AP: 003
PREDICTIONS FOR 25 Aug 2004 10CM FLUX: 092 / AP: 005
PREDICTIONS FOR 26 Aug 2004 10CM FLUX: 088 / AP: 006
COMMENT: Solar as well as geomagnetic weather is very quiet. Although Sunspot
group Catania 01 (NOAA 0663) decreased in size and in number of sunspots it is
now defined as being a beta-gamma group. We expect solar activity to remain
quiet with a slight possibility for C-flares from Catania 01 or 02 (NOAA 0664).
Geomagnetic conditions are expected to remain very quiet (K=1,2) for the next
few days.
