GEOMAGNETISM : Minor geomagnetic storm expected (A>=30 or K=5)

COMMENT: Solar activity is very low. There has been no significant flaring
activity in the past 24 hours. There are only a few small spots currently
visible
on the solar surface. We expect quiet conditions to continue.
At the moment, also geomagnetic conditions are quiet. The solar wind speed is
steady near 400 km/s and is expected to stay near that level until the arrival
of the shock caused by the CME that left the sun on Dec 08. This arrival is
expected tomorrow in the second half of the UT day, and we anticipate this will
lead to a minor geomagnetic storm.
