Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2016 Aug 11 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity remained very low with only B-class flares observed. Region 2571 (N12W60, Cao/beta) underwent decay and remained inactive. Region 2574 (N05E29, Cao/beta) was stable and mostly inactive. Regions 2575 (N15E37, Hrx/alpha) and 2576 (S15E50, Hsx/alpha) were little changed and inactive. New Region 2577 (N03E43, Bxo/beta) was numbered and has been stable and inactive. No Earth-directed CMEs were noted in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is likely to be very low all three days (11-13 Aug) with a chance for C-class flares.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at moderate to high levels all three days (11-13 Aug) due to CH HSS effects. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels all three days.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters remained indicative of CH HSS effects. Solar wind speed ranged from about 550-685 km/s through the period. Total field strength varied primarily between 3 to 6 nT. The Bz component was variable. The phi angle was primarily positive.

Forecast: Solar wind speed is expected to remain elevated through days one and two (11-12 Aug) due to continued CH HSS effects. Solar wind speed is likely to decrease on day day three (13 Aug) and result in a return to near ambient-background like conditions.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to active due to CH HSS effects.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled on days one and two (11-12 Aug) as CH HSS effects wane. A return to near-background solar wind speeds on day three (13 Aug) is expected to result in mostly quiet conditions.
