Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Aug 27 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low and the visible disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low 27-29 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels 27-29 Aug and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind conditions became enhanced this period due to the arrival of a negative polarity CH HSS. Wind speeds increased from background levels to speeds just over 500 km/s. Total field briefly reached values of up to 12 nT, and the Bz component underwent a maximum southward deflection of -8 nT. The phi angle was predominately in a negative orientation, while undertaking brief excursions into a positive solar sector.

Forecast: An enhanced solar wind environment is expected to persist over the course of 27 Aug. CH HSS influences are expected to begin waning on 28 Aug, with a return to a more ambient, background-like environment on 29 Aug.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be primarily quiet to unsettled, with an isolated active period likely on 27 Aug due to CH HSS effects. Waning CH HSS influences on 28 Aug are expected to cause decreased geomagnetic responses of quiet and unsettled levels. Quiet conditions are anticipated on 29 Aug.
