Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2780 (N20E50) decayed to an area of enhanced plage, and was inactive. New Region 2781 (S24E75, Cso/beta) was numbered during the period, and was responsible for a C1 flare at 03/0703 UTC. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 03-05 Nov, with a slight chance for C-class flares all three days.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate 03-05 Nov, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected an ambient solar wind regime. Total field strength averaged near 5 nT, the Bz component had weak fluctuations, solar wind speed remained near 365 km/s, and the phi angle was predominantly positive.
Forecast: A slow solar wind regime is anticipated to continue 03-05 Nov.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: Geomagnetic activity was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to remain primarily quiet on 03-05 Nov.
