Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Nov 05 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at low levels. Region 3141 (N14E70, Dao/beta) produced the largest flare of the period, a C1.6 at 04/2227 UTC. The region remained largely unchanged as it rotated further on to the visible disk. Regions 3139 (N28E32, Axx/alpha), 3137 (N37E19, Cro/beta) and 3135 (N26W35, Cso/beta) were in gradual decay. Regions 3131 (N24W83, Hsx/alpha), 3136 (S08W13, Axx/alpha), and 3140 (N26E58, Hsx/alpha) were mostly stable. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels, with C-flares likely on 05-07 Nov.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 5,870 pfu observed at 04/1815 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 05-07 Nov as CH HSS influence persists. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected a gradual decrease of the influence from a positive polarity CH HSS. Total magnetic field strength was between 4-6 nT. The Bz component reached as far south as -5 nT. Solar wind speeds declined from ~550 km/s to ~500 km/s by the periods end. Phi was predominantly oriented in the positive sector.
Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to remain enhanced on 05-07 Nov as HSS influence persists.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: Geomagnetic activity was at unsettled levels due to positive polarity HSS influences.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is likely to range from unsettled to G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm levels on 05 Nov due to continued CH HSS effects. Diminishing CH influence is expected to decrease peak conditions to active on 06 Nov and unsettled over 07 Nov.
