Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2022 Nov 06 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was low. Region 3141 (N10E58, Dko/beta) produced the strongest flare of the period, a C1.2 at 06/0113 UTC. Region 3141 along with the remaining numbered regions were either stable or in decay. A plethora of filaments were noted in both hemispheres. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels, with a chance for C-flares on 06-08 Nov.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 8,029 pfu observed at 05/1615 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to remain at high levels on 06-08 Nov as CH HSS influence persists. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, suggested a transition from positive polarity CH HSS to mostly nominal conditions. Total magnetic field strength was between 2-4 nT. No significant periods of southward Bz were observed. Solar wind speeds declined from ~500 km/s to ~420 km/s by the periods end. Phi was predominantly oriented in the positive sector.
Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to be near background levels or weakly enhanced on 06-07 Nov, increasing to more enhanced levels on 08 Nov due to additional CH HSS influence.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: Geomagnetic activity was at quiet levels.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to range from quiet to unsettled levels on 06-08 Nov.
