I am surprised that Kerry has not picked up on the fact that his opponent
supports something that has been a spectrum polluter in most of its
deployments.

I don't imagine John Kerry has spent a lot of time contemplating Broadband
Over Power Line. Indeed, a search on his web site gets no hits on BPL, and for
"Broadband Over Power Line" the closest I could find was:

"NARAL is without question the front line defense in this struggle and when
judgments are made, the judgment is...
...were all about power â about stripping women of dignity and control over
their lives. And thatâs what this fight is all about. Itâs about power.
Itâ
s..."

(Unfortunately he had no remarks about the all female marching musical
organization, which would have completed the match :>) .

Actually there were also some references in Kerry's web site supporting
broadband, but with no distinction of what form.

I suspect that Kerry might be less inclined than Bush to be pushing (or more
precisely have his FCC Chairman pushing) BPL. The second highest element of
Republican theology is that no government regulation should ever interfere with
somebody making money, so having Michael Powell ramrodding BPL is no
surprise.

In many areas Bush has ignored what mainstream science says, to support
policies to the contrary (stem cell research, global warming, etc.). Having a
president who might consider sound technical information before deciding, or
maybe
even "flip-flop" after being exposed to scientific facts, might be a welcome
change as applied to BPL.

And all that said, my original post was largely a tongue in cheek comment
that we should be thankful that the Bush campaign did not pick that same venue
for a photo op visit 10 days later.
