[build current probe] Thanks; that should get me far more accurate data than what I did. Since sending my earlier note, I made some measurements. I have posted them at: http://www.lexort.com/blog/amateur-radio.html#sec-5 The quick summary is that all 5 types I have tested are not detectably noisy from 160m to 6m, and 3 of 5 cause S1 noise to a 2m receiver with the antenna just under 1m from the lamp.
