I do plan to contact them. I'm just curious if anyone would know the brand or model of a mic that would operate on that frequency. It couldn't hurt to have some extra information, and perhaps suggest some alternatives. Perhaps the equipment they use would allow them to change frequencies.

I don't have a heavenly voice, but apparently running MS on .150 with 1200W and about 12dBd gain during the Perseids caused them no problem. Neither does running the same power on .160 USB trying to check into a net in Philly, which is in the same direction. They are only about 1000ft from me.

nb> Hi there,

A local church has a FM microphone that is transmitting on 144.160MHz, and I can also hear it 20kHz above and below that frequency. I'm not sure if 144.160MHz is the principal signal or if it's some mixing product. Would anyone know what brand/model wireless microphone would cause this?

It wasn't much of a problem when they only used it on Sunday mornings, but they have a ton of activities now and they use that microphone a lot more. Tonight is movie night and the mic is on...
