hi Maza - please thank Hiro for managing the contest.

Please note that Writelog in its latest form does not create this Cabrillo
file for you.

Please also note that the WT4I conversion tool does not create exactly the
correct format. I exported the log from Writelog in the "ASCII with no
formatting, by time" format, and used WT4I Cabrillo Converter to create the
Cabrillo file using it JARTS option. The WT4I tool did not specify the
contest name or entry categories or the ARRL Section correctly, nor did it
place the column locations correctly - I had to use Notepad to shift the
Sent RST, Age, and Received Call to the left by one column.

I fear that many hams will not bother to send logs if the process of
converting logs is too difficult. The JARTS contest is too much fun to have
participation suffer because of log conversion problems.

I hope you are able to work with the software vendors so that it is easy to
send the logs, and easy for Hiro to process them.

I hope that this information will help with that effort!

thanks and 73 - jeff wk6i
