I was one of those whose log was rejected. For those of us using mainstream
contest logging software it seems odd that JARTS requries Cabrillo when the
software does not yet support it. I believe they are jumping the gun on this
and/or not providing software developers with enough information and
adequate time to make the changes.

In my case Writelog 10.42C was used, the most recent release before the
contest, and it does not produce a Cabrillo file. I had to export a text
file which was then converted by wl2cabr.exe which is really intended for
the SPDX contest. I then did some find and replaces to get the content and
field positions where required. I could not easily eliminate the QSO number
but as it was in an unused column felt it would not be a problem.

The bounce message did not give me any information about what was wrong but
I did find that I had missed the ARRL-SECTION: NA line. It is very difficult
to create a Cabrillo file in this way and get it right the first time. I
have no problem with JARTS requesting Cabrillo only but without the
necessary preparation by software developers they should be prepared to do a
lot of work with problem logs. It's not surprising that many logs are not
right the first time and maybe even after the second or third try. Hopefully
mine is okay now but my confidence level is not high.
