Award sponsors are "hard to come by", as most "major" contest managers will
attest! Radiosport (Amateur Radio Contesting) is the only "sport" that I'm
aware of that "offers awards without an entry fee"? Many contend that an
"entry fee" is impossible to enforce? If "previous year" winners were to
sponsor the "current year" winning awards, how difficult would it be for all
contest sponsors to "provide their awards in a timely manner"?

On a "different note", I deviated from the "standard" contest exchange, in
the OK DX RTTY contest, by entering "MERRY CHRISTMAS", after the "required"
information. Some stations failed to respond, until I sent only the
"standard exchange"? If I offended anyone, I certainly apologize! Absolutely
nothing more than a "friendly wish for a happy Holiday season" was intended!
I would like to think that Amateur Radio "bridges the political and
religious gap" that exist in our World?

HAPPY HOLIDAY'S Y'ALL

 C'Ya Shelby
