I also noticed this after a review of my log.  So I don't know if the
wrong zone was sent or my software defaulted to what the call sign
indicated and I didn't catch it.

The other possibility is that a previous call and zone were entered to be
logged, but was aborted because the qso couldn't be completed.  The
original zone stayed in the entry even though I entered a new call,
different zone.
