So we don't have much time to think or do something else like putting data
in the log or read the message while these extra characters are being sent.
all we lose is the qrz that we send after the call. In many cases in a pile
up other station are already calling and are ven in your buffer when you
have finished the qso.
In short skip the QRZ at the end and you gain time.
I think that this time 1/3 or 2/3 of a second don't make you loose many
QSO's in a contest.
In the old days when tose old mechanical rtty machines were in use this usos
character was needed to change the printing frame in the machine. I had a
machine like this for reparing when I was learnig this electronic stuff. It
was a big machine and a electric motor burnt out because of lack of
lubrication. this motor was changing the frame from numbers to letters and
it took about 6 seconds for the motor to change the frame.  If that should
happen every time a letter/number change came after every usos.
just think 3 to 5 QSO's in a minute would be good result.
