In a DX contest, west coast will never beat east coast because of
proximity to Europe. Likewise, I have noted in recent RTTY contests
that Europe is consistently beating the east coast too.

No big deal, geography rules.

I have always felt that the real competition is between stations in
the same general area, not between coasts or continents. Equalizing
the hardware as much as possible makes that competition much more
intense and rewarding. Don't you agree?
