Because it works.
One of the biggest problem for a while was all the LF/CR's at the end of the
macro's--having to chase callsigns and exchanges all over the screen. It
was discussed here and that problem has all but dissappeared.
Adding CQ to the end of the CQ macro is now standard, which was discussed
here on the reflector.
Don't send B4, just work a station and go on. A couple of years ago,
sending B4 was in the software instructions on how to set up macro's.
This is a great place for new contesters to get information. If I send an
email to the ones that do it, that doesn't help the next new guy who doesn't
know any better. If he is subscribed to the reflector, he gets the
information.
What better place to discuss these issues than here? CU in the next one.
