Tom W8JWN,
Chen, W7AY, provided an excellent response to your question.
As a fldigi user I would like to add there is a degree of comfort in
numbers. I am not sure of the numbers but the list of users is growing
and support is very good for all kinds of setups. There is always someone
that can help.
This rtty-contesting reflector is not the correct forum for fldigi help so
please send me an offline note on your setup and I will try to help or put
you in touch with someone that can. It will help to know your
computer, operating system, interface, rig and what was not working.
Fldigi is a very robust application from W1HKJ <http://www.w1hkj.com/>
that amazingly runs on multiple platforms with something for everyone. I
do not use all of the modes but it nice to know they are there. Fldigi is
not a heavy duty contesting program; however, it has a very good contest
user interface with export capability.
Fldigi worked great for me in the BARTG 75 Sprint
