[RTTY] USB Signal Link

I am helping a person new to RTTY and writelog and has a USB Signal Link device 
but can’t get to work on writelog.  It works on ham radio deluxe and he says 
that it works on MMTTY.

Anyone know anything about this device and how to get to work on writelog?  

He doesn’t have and comports so a recommendation of a working USB to serial 
would also be appreciated.
