Bill,
Does the IC-7600 have two antenna connectors like the ProIII?
On my 756ProIII I found that antenna jack number 2 has DC resistance to
ground, that is the one I use for my antennas.
Just an thought,

Got the report from the factory on my non working IC-7600. Turns out it was
ESD damage. Three diodes and one IC were destroyed on the tuner control
board. Not covered by warranty of course, so that learning experience cost
me $223.45 plus shipping of $85 each way. Ouch.

There never was any lightning, just that kind of precipitation static I've
heard hundreds of times before, but will never hear again more than a
fraction of a second. :-)

Take a lesson, boys and girls.
