Hi Bill,

Although there aren't as many RTTY skimmer sites as CW, you will still find
plenty of spots.  I use AB5K-2 in N1MM.  A problem is whether there  are
any in your part of the world.  WZ7I is the RTTY skimmer daddy here on  the
East coast.  I've found it useful to run assisted in RTTY  contests.

I have been experimenting with running my own DL4RCK skimmer just for fun
but I don't know if I can use it while operating at the same time.  That's
one thing I want to find out this weekend.  I plan a casual operation just
to experiment.

Good luck in the contest.

Ken, AB1J

I see  there is now an (A) class available to enter this weekend. What is
the
status of the US skimmers on RTTY? Will it be as fun as a CW (A)  contest?

Just getting ready for the ARRL RTTY RU.  My station is set up for SO2R,
but I am still a relative newbie when it comes to RTTY.

I attempted to configure N1MM for SO2R RTTY, and things did not work as
expected.  I think some changes need to be incorporated into the second
copy of MMTTY to have it decode off the other sound card, but I was unable
to figure out what was going wrong.  When I clicked on a call, it ended up
on the wrong radio.

Is there a tutorial per chance on setting up SO2R RTTY?  I took a quick
look at RTTYContesting.com, but did not find anything that would help in
this case.  No biggiie if there is nothing out there - I will either use
two computers or just go with one radio.

Thanks

Tom - VE3CX

The results of the 2013 Ten-Meter RTTY Contest are now online on
rttycontesting.com:

http://rttycontesting.com/tenmeterrttycontest.html

Click on the link "2013 Results" at the top of the page. Also, the records page
has been updated. Certificates will be emailed in
the coming weeks and should be out before the end of January. The plaques will
come out later in the year. Ed, W0YK, will contact
the wine winners.

If you are interested in sponsoring a plaque for this contest, please contact
me directly and I will tell you which plaques are
available. I will update the plaque page in the near future with 2013
information. If you are a continental winner of a plaque that
is not sponsored, you may purchase your own plaque if you wish to do so. We're
not 100% sure if the plaque design will change this
year, but here is a sample of a previous plaque:

Thanks to everyone who participated and looking forward to continuing the
contest in 2014.

Several folks have asked about practice runs for the upcoming RTTY Round
Up, and would like to propose the following:

*Thursday, 1/2/14,   7 pm to 8 pm PST around 3580 and 7080*

*Friday, 1/3/14,   7 pm to 8 pm PST around 3580 and 7080*

I know that most of the 40 meter activity, especially DX, is around 7035,
but this will keep us from causing unnecessary QRM.

I?ll send out a reminder the day of each practice.
