Tom,Sailmail uses the SSB HF transceiver on the boat in the authorized marine bands and not in the ham bands. It is meant for those that won't go to the bother of getting a ham license. The similar program for the Ham Bands is Airmail, and that is given away free to anyone in the ham community. Airmail uses the winlink system in the ham bands and there is no charge for that. Definitely not trying for profit in the ham bands. Dave K9MRQ _______________________________________________ RTTY mailing list RTTY@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/rtty |
