As others have mentioned - the SECC has repeated as the winner of the
medium sized club competition in SS-2006. Posted below are the scores
that were submitted this year for the club. Our next closest competitor
was the Southern California Contest Club with 2.57M points to our 3.06M
- that's a nice healthy margin! Our friendly competitors to the North -
the TCG - had 2.04M. Our 36 entries nearly beat the FCG's 55 entries
and 3.09M score - they were at the bottom of the unlimited sized clubs.
As enacted last year, the gavel will be awarded to the highest
contributor to the club score who has not received a gavel in the past.
N4PN is once again our top contributor - way to go Paul! - but Paul
received last year's gavel, so per our procedure the gavel this year
will go to K4BAI - congratulations John.
I am unsure when the gavel will be in our possession - last year we were
fortunate to have N1ND hand carry it to our annual meeting - Ill look
into seeing if this can happen again.
