Thanks to WB2RHM, Ben, for being willing to register SECC team(s) for 
this event.  It appears that none of the clubs in the SE area was able 
to stir up enough interest for a team.  Perhaps we could work together 
next time to get up some teams.  Obviously there are enough RTTY hams in 
our area to be on teams if only we would commit before the contest 
period starts.

This Week's Contests:

1.  CWOps Club CWT Mini Tests. Every Wednesday.  Three separate one-hour 
mini-tests.  1300Z, 1900Z, and 0300Z (Thursday UTC date).  160-10M CW. 
Exchange:  Name + CWOps # or State, Province, or Country (SPC).  Look 
around 028 to 040 kHz on each band and up from 1815 kHz on 160M.

2.  QRP Fox Hunt.  Thursday local date, Friday UTC 0200-0330Z.  Two QRP 
Foxes will be hiding between 14050 and 14070 kHz.  Exchange:  RST, SPC, 
Name, Power.  Work only the two foxes: N0UR, JIM, MN and NC4RT, RANDY, 
NC.  Maximum power 5 watts. Do not spot the foxes' frequencies.

3.  NCCC RTTY Sprint Practice.  0145-0215Z Friday (Thursday local date). 
  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M RTTY.  Maximum power 100W.  1/1 kHz QSY rule. 
Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  Look 080 kHz on each band and up 
from 1805 kHz.   Same band dupes OK after one intervening QSO.

4.  NCCC NS CW Sprint Practice.  0230-0259Z Friday (Thursday local 
date).  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M CW.  Maximum power 100W.  1/1 kHz QSY rule. 
Exchange:  both calls, #, name, SPC.  Look around 040 kHz and up from 
1815 kHz.  No same band dupes allowed.

5.  RSGB IOTA Contest.  1200Z Sat to 1200Z Sun.  80-10M CW, SSB. 
Exchange:  RS(T) + Serial (+ IOTA # if you have one).  Work everyone, 
not, just IOTA stations.  There will be a lot of activity in this one, 
particularly from Europe and particularly on CW.

6.  County Hunters CW Contest.  1400-2400Z Sat; 1400-2400Z Sun.  80-10M 
CW.  Exchange:  RST + State + County or "DX."

7.  Adventure Radio Society Flight of The Bumble Bees.  1700-2100Z 
Sunday.  5W maximum power.  40-10M CW.  Exchange:  RST + SPC + BB# or 
power.  A lot of QRP guys have promised to operate portable and obtained 
BB numbers.  Most of the activity in this one is on 20M (but there could 
be some on 15M if it is open).  Then there may be some activity on 40M 
toward the end of the period.

8.  Phone Fray.  This will be the first running of a weekly half hour 
SSB Sprint practice with no QSY rule.  0230-0300Z Wednesday (Tuesday 
night local date).  15, 20, 40, 80, 160M SSB.  100W maximum power. 
Exchange:  Name, SPC for North American stations and just Name for 
stations outside North America.  This is generally the NAQP Sprint 
format.  SSB operators please join in and help build up interest in a 
mid week phone practice event.

9.  CWTs every Wednesday. See #1 above.
