I suspect that in the not too distant future that most rigs will be linked via a satellite link and when you are in an HF QSO the link will automatically control the xmit power of both rigs so as to maintain a proper contact. This will of course also permit totally instantaneous QSLs which will be processed by the ARRL and update your DXCC or other award standing in real time. A most ingenious use of technology!
