Hi Josh,

Yes, Happy 99!

And yes, I have a pretty new OMNI-6 Plus. And yes, I really like it.

The best features I like are: great QSK, super method of QNZ!!!!! =
Selectable CW off-set frequencies, down to 400Hz (I like 'em low, about =
480Hz or less). Lots of other smaller features such as all controls and =
all switches are on the front panel, including the aux. rcvg. ant. =
switch. Front-end protection via pin diodes on the aux. rcvg. ant. =
input. Even down to the use of GE type 47 meter lamps!!!! Plus no fans =
or blowers, not even in the power supply which is separate so you need =
never ship a heavy thing back to the factory.

The one little problem with OMNI-6s (some to a greater degree than =
others) is they don't sound as good as other Ten-Tecs on CW. Some have a =
funny, "micro-chirp." At least folks can recognize me, with no extra =
charge for this feature! I understand that the factory is secretly =
working to correct this, so do not be discouraged--the OMNI-6 is the =
ONLY choice a CW man in sound mind has.=20

By the way, the pair of QSK Jacks on the rear apron perfectly interface =
with the pair of QSK control jacks on the wonderful QSK-1500 pin diode =
unit. It's slick as you- know -what.

Well, I could rave on, but we should be on CW instead.

73! Roy K6XK royanjoy@ncn.net=20

P.S...Buy only the new model CW filter, 221. It is centered on 500Hz and =
is 250Hz wide. It has a fantasic sound with an off-set around 500Hz =
(rcvd. tone).
