I have never had ANY problems with my POT (my Omni VI/3 audio-out
control that is!). I usually have it set about 9 or 10 o'clock as I
like the softer sounds. Turning it up past 1 o'clock is way too loud
for me, and I don't recall ever turning it all the way up. I have never
experienced any "scratchiness' with it either. My Omni VI/3 will be
celebrating its 7th birthday this July.

My Omni V and Omni VI are not that way. Also, I don't remember my Omni A,
D, B or C's or the Corsair and Paragon being like that. Generally my Omni
VI needs the audio control at about 12 o'clock or a bit higher. I don't
think any have gotten scratchy either. That could be because of the
ultra-dry climate I live in.
