Those off/on switches don't last too long because they are switching the
primary of a big supply that immediately jerks a big load. This would have
been better accomplished with a relay or at least a surge limiter. The
switch in my Omni C was shot so I went to RadioShack and got their 10k pot
and rear mount switch. The whole thing cost less than $3. Now instead of
push pull you just turn it counter clockwise like other radios.
