Richard,
I found the same thing with my 6+. I put an SWR in line with it and
found that the SWR tracked with the
RF gain all the way up, but that the meters differed more as the RF gain
was backed off. I concluded
the measurement circuit in the rig was inaccurate for RF settings other
than full CW. I realize even
small differences in where the meters sample will change the SWR, but I
don't think that was the cause.
