Actually, I did this with Zakanaka (take a look at the Welcome page in the Help
files). I only used DigiPan a few minutes before I wrote the note. To others
who
may be interested, Zakanaka's advantage is that it works with Logger to read
your
radio's frequency, and what you see on the screen is an actual radio frequency
offset. If your radio reads 14.070, that is the bottom of the Zakanaka display.
If a signal is received as a 500 Hz. tone, the Zakanaka display will show the
signal at 14.0705.
I am pleased that you also have done this. I wish I had AM, but that is one
mode
that is not available in the Omni VI. It would allow alignment without regard
to
the radio's displayed frequency.
I will take this opportunity to extol the virtues of Zakanaka to all Ten-Tec
users. If you are interested in new communications modes, PSK31 is oen of the
newest, and Zakanaka is the best way to use it. In the future, expect to see
other
modes, possibly not yet in use, to be implemented in Zakanaka. The only sad
thing
is that the author, Bob Furzer, K4CY, says he does not want to bother adding
RTTY.
But only time will tell.
