Couple of points:

First, the PRO does not have an internal power supply, so it is a
two-package deal.

Second, regardless of the motivation for choosing to use the PRO on several
DXpeditions, the end result was tens of thousands of QSOs under difficult
conditions. Which tells me that the PRO was able to get the job done. Could
other radios have done the same? Of course . . .
