There was an Omni A and Omni D of the 'B' series too.
The 'C' series was the only one that did not offer an analog readout
version and was really only referred to as an Omni C.
I don't remember the difference between the first Omni and the Series 'B'
Omni. I was thinking one thing had something to do with the way the xtal
filters were selected.

Model A had an "analog" display...Non Digital.
Model D had a "digital" display
Model D had 2 series, B and C.
Going from model A to model D series B would require installation of a
frequency counter. Not really practical.
