WD40 is not the best solution. Stop by a gun shop and pick up a squeeze bottle of "Break Free CLP." It's about six bux for a lifetime supply in a small bottle. It's intended to keep stainless steel and aluminum firearms from galling, steel from rusting, and everything clean. It's slicker n' owl snot and it works the best of anything I have found.
