[TenTec] Transistor Question?

I don't find any MPSV transistors. MPSU10 is in the ECG cross reference.
Its replaced by an ECG 191, discontinued. No data in this book, was a Si
NPN HV AF/Video amp in figure T36 case... Also not shown.

Digging back 5 editions: 300 volts collector to base and emitter. .5 amp
max collector current 10 watts dissipation, current gain 40. TO-202
package.

I'd suggest an IRF 820 FET with a 2N3904 inverter driving the gate with
12 volts or 0...
