Jody, I haven't used any Japanese radios in
over 15 years. They are good radios and the
only problem that I had was getting service in
a respectable amount of time. One occasion
required almost 3 months to get the radio
turned around and it still wasn't fixed. A ham
in Knoxville finally fixed it in less than a week.
TT(35 minutes away) has taken care of me
exceptionally well, very quick to fix a problem
and sometime, if I let them know I'm coming and
the nature of the problem, I can go out and
pick up a bite to eat and come back in an hour
or two and it's fixed.
Borrow the money and buy a Jupiter!!!!!!!
I run mine standing alone, with N4PY's software,
with WA1EPY 's software, and there is even
more out there. I have had more fun with this
radio than any of the previous ones I've owned
besides it's a darn good radio. 73 Richard NW4P
