Ok, which CW mode is correct on the bands?
Orion offers the choice of LCW or UCW; I presume
this is similar to CW and CW-R that was on a Kenwood
I had long ago.

But, is upper sideband CW used above 14 MHz, and
LCW from 30 on down? Or, the other way around?
I just can't recall, nor can I find word one about this
issue in the Orion manual.

The Orion spectrum sweep display seems to have no
vertical deflection sensitivity until at least an S6 signal,
or stronger is present; not many of those out here
today. Anywhere on 20 meters just now, there is just
a bit of fuzz barely visible above the sweep display
base line. I can find no adjustment for that display
vertical gain/sensitivity; have I missed it? An S9
SSB signal has a nice audio spectrum resolved
display, but weaker ones don't show much on the
sweep. Nice to be able to choose sweep ranges
of 4.5, 9, 18, 36, or 72 kHz; but needs more vertical
sensitivity.

73, Jim KH7M
