Perhaps the guys sending them back are just the most vocal. That seems to be
the
case, anyway. I've heard several on the air, including a recording of mine.
Typically the
one or two I've heard that didn't sound up to snuff were put on the air buy new
owners
who plugged in the mic and started to talk. If you do that with, for example,
a Studio One
mic without adjusting transmit EQ or without reading the manual, it WILL sound
like crap.
But that isn't the fault of the Orion -- any rig can be made to sound bad.

Then he also needs to read ON4UN's review, which has some not-so-oblique
comments
specifically on that. Supports what most of us said at the time. Naturally
the rest of us,
the run of the mill, were dismissed as one or more of (1) members of the
"cult", (2)
flamers, (3) castigators of the righteous. Maybe Devoldere won't be ....
