Unfortunately, they seem to be coupled.

And encoder resolution on Orion is rather poor:

  * VFO encoder ~64/256 steps per revolution,
    compared to ~250/1000 on F1000MP

  * RIT encoder ~10/40 steps per revolution,
    compared to ~25/100 on F1000MP

Linked with slow synthesizer update, this makes Orion a poor
choice for band scanning during contests.
