Acutally, most of the problems we have seen with distorted audio on
the Orion are from not separating mic ground and RF ground on the
microphone input.

Every amateur radio installation is unique.

My main antenna at home is a 80/40 Windom, less than 100 feet from
my house. 2nd floor ham shack, no RF ground. At 1500 watts, I set
off the carbon monoxide detector, tear up the television and cream
the phone line. No problem with the radio.

The Orion is no more susceptible to RFI than any other transceiver is.
