The garage door openers I have serviced have a way to change which "channel" they operate on, in case the default setting duplicates a door opener on the same street or block. There is usually a dip switch, for example, to change among various codes for channels. Not maybe that is technically a modulated code, and not changing the oscillator frequency, but I think I saw one that swaps caps, and that would be changing the carrier oscillator. -Stuart K5KVH |
