I'm seriously considering replacing my ICOM IC-275H (2m 100w
All-mode) tranceiver with the Ten-Tec 526 '6n2' rig. (the name reminds
me of the ol' Johnson 6n2 Thunderbolt I lugged to the mountain top every
June . . . but I digress . ..) I'm interested in comments or reviews
from those who have tried and kept (or returned) one to see what your
experience is with them. Also, anyone who has compared it against the IC
high end single bander might be able to provide some useful wisdom. Back
when I was living in the Northeast, 2m SSB/CW was a big deal, but here in
TX it's pretty quiet. My reasoning is that with the addition of a 6m
radio, I could have a little more flexibility. Comments?
