I have been following the "unfinished" thread with a different view. I have
never ever visited any hamshack where I wasn't told that it was
"unfinished", a work in progress, usually followed by when I get the time I
plan to...etc. 100% of the time!
Personally I have never had a hamshack/contest station that is finished. I
can spend an hour on why none of the radios that I own are finished,
including the 1000MP's. But in their case, with no possibility of SDR radio
capabilities...they ARE finished..good or bad, but I still really like them.
I would suggest that we all get the rest of our ham stuff finished before
impuning the Orion. The important point here is that the Orion is by design
a work in a constant state of transition and improvement, which is more than
I can say for most hamshacks and 99% of all other radios.
It is designed this way...HELLO...anyone else see the beauty of the
concept???
Transition with improvement is good, finished is not.
Now, I need to finish all of my life intruding projects here so I can
eventually get back to the radio, else I will be finished in this hobby :)
