This is kind of like picking a wife .. no two people are going to have
exactly the same preference :-)
You need relatively HI-Z phones, 32 Ohms or more is recommended. I
use a pair of 250 ohm Koss (PRO4AA) that suit me just fine. They're
relatively heavy, but the design is such that they're still very comfortable
for long periods of use. "Hiss" hasn't been an issue.
