[TenTec] Omni VI & 160

I have a problem with 160 meters on the Omni. Hopefully someone here has 
an answer. The RX/TX is warbly-watery and for us OF's sounds as if there 
is AC on the key line. Better yet it sounds like an older TT needing a 
PTO rebuild. This is either CW or SSB RX. Its the same on CW TX, not 
sure on SSB TX as I don't have a mic to check it with. I'm guessing a 
bad xtal....any ideas, before I call TT....73
